    Burgundy is a peaceful rural region in the heart of France with an important historical past. It is an ideal region for wine lovers and travelers wanting to explore lovely towns and villages.

    Burgundy is located in the heart of France, a three hour drive south from Paris and one and a half hour drive north of Lyon.

    CLIMATE

    Burgundy's climate is oceanic with a semi-continental influence that promotes the culture of vineyards.

    There are many vineyards to explore in Burgundy, following the wine routes crossing charming villages and historic castles such as the medieval Château de Guédélon or the Château de Sully.

    WINE & GASTRONOMY

    Burgundy is very famous for its vineyards where both white and red wines are produced. The best-known wines are made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The local specialities are snails, boeuf bourguignon and mustard, all of which you can taste in local restaurants.
