This private tour was designed for wine and nature lovers, in one of the most beautiful regions of France: the Loire Valley, designated as a World Heritage Site for its châteaux, landscapes and gastronomy.
First of all you will enjoy an exceptional journey through gardens, lush green landscapes and the Renaissance châteaux of Villandry, Azay-le-Rideau and Ussé. The following day, prestige and elegance will enjoy pride of place at Chenonceau, known as ‘Castle of the Ladies’ and at Amboise, a charming town which houses the exceptional Royal Château. Following this, let your imagination run away with you in the fascinating universe of Leonardo da Vinci at the Clos Lucé…Next, a whole day will be dedicated to the discovery of the Loire’s wines. A unique experience in a private property, with regional wine and cheese tasting is on the programme. After having visited the impressive Chambord and Cheverny châteaux, you will be transferred to Sancerre for two nights.
Sancerre is renowned all over the world for its excellent wines from the Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Wine and nature amateurs alike will appreciate this peaceful region through walks along the Loire and through its vineyards. The beauty of this exceptional scenery of sloping vineyards will not leave you untouched. Meetings with wine producers in renowned wine cellars, complete with wine tastings, will be an opportunity for interesting discussions.
Before you return to Paris, you will have the opportunity to visit the town of Bourges, with its famous cathedral, a World Heritage Site.

DAY 1: LOIRE VALLEY CHATEAUX
Arrival in Amboise. Full day private tour of the Château de Villandry and its outstanding gardens, the Renaissance Château d'Azay-le-Rideau and the Sleeping Beauty Château d'Ussé. Dinner in a restaurant with local specialities and night in a 3* hotel in a junior suite.
DAY 2: LOIRE VALLEY CHATEAUX
Full day private tour of the Château de Chenonceau, also called the ‘Castle of the Ladies’, the Royal Château of Amboise and the last residence of Leonardo da Vinci with a private English speaking guide. Gourmet dinner in Amboise.
DAY 3: WINE TOUR
Full day private wine tour with a visit to a spectacular troglodyte wine cellar, a privately owned château, a wine cooperative and an elegant private property with a unique cheese and wine tasting. Dinner and night in Amboise.
DAY 4: CHAMBORD, CHEVERNY AND SANCERRE REGION
Full day private tour of the impressive Château de Chambord and the Château de Cheverny also known as Tintin's castle. Private transfer with driver-guide to Sancerre. Time for relaxing in this peaceful region. Gourmet dinner and night in a 3* charming hotel.
DAY 5: SANCERRE WINE TOUR
Full day private wine tour in the region with visits of wine cellars and wine tastings with a private English speaking guide. Gourmet dinner and night at the hotel.
DAY 6: END OF THE TOUR
Private transfer with driver-guide to Bourges and high speed 1st class train transfer to Paris.
This tour starts in the Loire Valley and finishes in Sancerre and can easily be combined with several days in Paris or with touring elsewhere in France.
